Overview of the meeting.
On March 9, Inspection and Supervision Team No. 2 of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi reviewed preparations for the election of the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term in Long Bien, Bo De, Viet Hung and Phuc Loi wards.
The inspection team was led by Tran Thi Phuong Hoa, Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi.
Reporting to the delegation, Standing Vice Secretary of the Long Bien Ward Party Committee Nguyen Thi Thu Hang said the ward has completed posting the list of 36 candidates for the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels after three consultation rounds, along with their brief biographies at polling stations.
The voter list has been reviewed and updated in accordance with regulations. Voter cards have been delivered to each household. The ward People's Committee has also organized training sessions for 21 polling teams, focusing on procedures for voting and vote counting.
In Bo De Ward, Vice Chairwoman of the People's Committee Dao Thu Hai said the ward currently has 94,949 voters.
Security cameras have been installed at 100% of polling stations to support election management and ensure security on election day.
In Viet Hung Ward, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Truong Giang said election communication efforts have been implemented through multiple channels, including the ward's public broadcasting system, the ward's online information portal and neighborhood Zalo groups, combined with visual promotional activities.
As of March 7, Viet Hung Ward had compiled and posted the voter list of 65,040 voters across 34 polling stations.
In Phuc Loi Ward, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee Tang Quang Huy said that from February 28 to March 6 the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward organized 21 voter meetings.
Since meetings were conducted seriously, ensuring transparency, democracy and equality, the review of voter lists has been implemented across all 44 residential groups and one residential area, with timely updates reflecting the actual situation.
Concluding the working session, Tran Thi Phuong Hoa, Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi and head of the inspection team, acknowledged the proactive and responsible efforts of the wards in preparing for the election.
Election commissions, Fatherland Front committees, election boards and polling teams have closely followed city guidance and implemented tasks on schedule and in accordance with regulations.
Local authorities have organized voter meetings and discussions to help voters clearly understand information about candidates.
The posting of voter lists and the distribution of voter cards to households have been carried out promptly, allowing voters to verify and monitor their information conveniently.
Hoa also praised the diverse forms of election communication, which have helped deliver election-related information to residents quickly and effectively.
She emphasized that with limited time remaining before election day, the wards must continue reviewing and updating voter lists to ensure that every voter can fully exercise their rights and civic responsibilities.
For temporary residents wishing to participate in the election, local authorities should guide them in completing declarations and promptly update voter lists. The wards should also pay attention to specific groups such as students, renters and migrant workers while preparing mobile ballot boxes for elderly or disabled voters who cannot reach polling stations.
Hoa also urged the wards to closely monitor public sentiment, ensure security and order at polling stations and strengthen inspection and supervision to promptly address difficulties and ensure the successful organization of the election.
