Tuoi Tre Thu Do Newspaper receives the Third-Class Labor Order from the President of Vietnam.
Tuoi Tre Thu Do Newspaper on June 18 celebrated the 100th anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 – June 21, 2025) and received the Third-Class Labor Order from the President of Vietnam.
Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Manh Hung recalled that 100 years ago, on June 21, 1925, President Ho Chi Minh (then Nguyen Ai Quoc) founded Thanh Nien Newspaper, laying the foundation for Vietnam's revolutionary press.
Over the past century, the Communist Party of Vietnam has built a revolutionary press system devoted to the people, the nation, and the homeland.
Within this tradition, Tuoi Tre Thu Do has spent the last 40 years serving as the voice of Hanoi's youth and a platform for young people across the country.
The newspaper plays a vital role in spreading positive values, shaping political awareness, and inspiring young generations to contribute to the country's development.
Hung emphasized that the newspaper has consistently fulfilled its mission to promote the Party's policies and the State's laws.
It has also served as an extension of the Hanoi Youth Union in the media landscape and as a reliable forum for youth to build character, civic awareness, and ideals in the new era.
In recent years, the newsroom has actively restructured its organization, improved content quality, adopted multimedia platforms, and expanded its financial autonomy.
Thanks to these efforts, it has become a reputable cultural press agency within both the central and Hanoi media systems, and a trusted voice for young people in the era of digital transformation.
In recognition of its outstanding achievements in educating and raising awareness among youth, and for its contributions to the capital's socio-economic development, Tuoi Tre Thu Do was honored with the Third-Class Labor Order.
Nguyen Tien Hung, Vice Secretary of the Hanoi Youth Union and Chairman of the Hanoi Students' Association, praised the newspaper's growth since its first issue in 1985.
He noted that it has become a strong bridge between young people and the Youth Union, and a trusted platform to reflect youth aspirations, knowledge, and values.
Each page, he said, serves as a humanistic link, fueling youth movements and vividly portraying the thoughts and actions of Hanoi's younger generation.
Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Manh Hung receives a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister.
He highlighted how the newspaper has closely followed real-life developments and effectively reported on the work of youth organizations and the various programs led by the Hanoi Youth Union.
Its emotional, insightful, and directional stories demonstrate the essential role of the press in educating today's youth, the Hanoi Youth Union's vice secretary said.
Hung added that as Vietnam's political system undergoes streamlining under Resolution No.18-NQ/TW, many agencies and organizations are being restructured.
Despite any changes in structure or position, he affirmed that Tuoi Tre Thu Do will always remain a cherished voice and an inspiring torchbearer – a trusted companion on every step of the journey for Hanoi's youth and the Youth Union.
On this occasion, Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Manh Hung also received a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister for his outstanding contributions to youth education and the capital's development during the 2020-2024 period.
