Attending and encouraging the soldiers departing for military service were: Nguyen Trong Dong, Member of the Party Central Committee and Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee; Bui Huyen Mai, Member of the Standing Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi; Major General Tran Minh Toan, Deputy Commander of the Hanoi Capital High Command, along with other officials.
In 2026, Hanoi has more than 4,700 outstanding young citizens who, with patriotism and youthful enthusiasm, possess the necessary moral qualities, intellect, and physical fitness to join the military.
Among them, nearly 2,430 citizens voluntarily submitted written applications to enlist, accounting for more than 60 percent. Thirty percent of the recruits hold university, college, or vocational secondary education degrees. The group includes 164 Party members, while nearly 2,300 individuals have completed preparatory courses on Party awareness.

According to Colonel Nguyen Van Tien, Commander of Defense Area Command No. 1 – Soc Son, Induction Point No. 1 includes 11 communes: Soc Son, Trung Gia, Da Phuc, Thu Lam, Noi Bai, Phuc Thinh, Kim Anh, Me Linh, Quang Minh, Yen Lang, and Tien Thang.
Colonel Nguyen Van Tien said the recruitment and conscription process in Defense Area Sector No. 1 this year achieved high quality. Among nearly 580 recruits, 20 are Party members and 300 volunteered by submitting enlistment applications. In terms of education, 42 citizens hold university degrees, 54 hold college degrees, and 34 hold vocational intermediate qualifications.
Representing the units receiving the recruits, Lieutenant Colonel Bui Van Tuan, Deputy Regimental Commander and Chief of Staff of Artillery Regiment 58 under the 308th Mechanized Infantry Division, expressed confidence and hope that the new recruits would always remember and uphold the revolutionary traditions of previous generations and the youth who came before them in their localities.
He encouraged the recruits to strive in training, study, and service, overcome all difficulties, live up to President Ho Chi Minh's guidance, "Sacrifice for the nation, serve the people," and actively contribute to the cause of building and defending the homeland.
Lieutenant Colonel Bui Van Tuan also called on the soldiers to strictly observe military and police discipline, continuously strive to improve themselves, and train to become exemplary revolutionary soldiers of the armed forces. He urged them to remain united, support one another, and work together to progress, worthy of the affection and expectations of their hometowns and families.
