Joining the inspection were leaders from the Departments of Industry and Trade, Construction, Planning and Architecture, Agriculture and Environment, and Science and Technology, as well as representatives of traditional craft and handicraft associations and the exhibition design consultancy unit.

During the session, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade Vo Nguyen Phong reported in detail on the progress of the exhibition's setup. The event will take place from August 28 to September 5, 2025, at the East Square of the National Exhibition and Fair Center, covering an area of 15,000 square meters.

The exhibition space will feature a diverse layout, including a showcase of signature products, OCOP products, and Hanoi's craft villages; demonstration areas for artisans; displays of technological and key industrial products; culinary zones; as well as miniature landscapes, models, and cultural-artistic activities.

As of the inspection, staging and decoration were about 80 percent complete, with full completion expected by 5:00 p.m. on August 15. Equipment such as air conditioning and LED screens will be installed before August 26 to avoid unnecessary rental costs. 

The list of displayed products has already been approved by the People's Committee, and product arrangement will take place from August 16 to 23.

The Department of Industry and Trade will also contribute to Hanoi's culinary showcase in the "Three-Region Culinary Space" with a themed booth titled "Green Culinary Train", located at the West Square with an area of 48 square meters, scheduled for completion before August 26. 

Electricity supply for the event has been comprehensively coordinated with the city's power corporation, ensuring both main grid and backup systems for safe, stable operations throughout the exhibition period.

After hearing reports and directly inspecting the venue, Deputy Chairman Nguyen Manh Quyen commended the Department of Industry and Trade and related units for their proactive efforts in keeping the schedule and ensuring quality.

He emphasized that the exhibition is a major event in the celebrations of the 80th National Day (September 2) and provides an opportunity to highlight Hanoi's and the nation's socio-economic achievements, while promoting Hanoi's image as a dynamic, creative, and globally integrated city.

The Deputy Chairman instructed the Department of Industry and Trade to coordinate closely with other departments, local authorities, and contractors to ensure all tasks are completed on time and with absolute safety. 

He stressed the need to facilitate participation by businesses and artisans, offering maximum technical, spatial, and logistical support.

He also highlighted the importance of creating well-placed check-in areas, arranging guides and narrators to help visitors and delegates fully appreciate the stories and values conveyed through the exhibition. 

The displays should present a comprehensive picture of Hanoi's and Vietnam's achievements over the past 80 years, inspiring pride and a sense of contribution among the people.

Deputy Chairman Quyen further directed the organizers and design consultants to ensure aesthetic harmony in the overall design while maintaining strict measures for security, fire prevention, environmental hygiene, and workplace safety during both preparation and implementation.

He concluded by once again praising the active role of the Department of Industry and Trade and its partners, expressing hope that the entire political system, from city to grassroots levels, will join efforts to make the Hanoi Traditional and Creative Space Exhibition 2025 a resounding success, leaving a strong impression on residents and international friends alike.

The Hanoi Traditional and Creative Space Exhibition 2025 will be held from August 28 to September 5, 2025 at the National Exhibition and Fair Center in Dong Anh, Hanoi, to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day. 

With the theme "Thang Long Essence", the exhibition will blend tradition with modernity, countryside with urban culture, and heritage with technology. Visitors and the public will explore Hanoi's heritage while experiencing the making of its signature handicraft products.
