He said the tour launch was not only the introduction of a new cultural tourism product but also an opportunity to reflect on enduring historical values and the spirit of patriotism passed down through generations.
He noted that amid rapid digital transformation, heritage conservation requires new approaches. The "Flag Tower Memories" tour was designed as an experiential model combining history, digital technology and emotion, transforming the Hanoi Flag Tower from a traditional sightseeing site into an interactive space where visitors can engage with history.
He expressed hope that visitors, especially younger generations, would gain a deeper appreciation of heritage, value the past and strengthen national pride after taking part in the tour.

Addressing the event, Vice Chairwoman Vu Thu Ha said Hanoi has in recent years promoted solutions to preserve and develop culture alongside the growth of cultural industries.
She said the city aims to balance preservation and development while enhancing the quality and value of cultural products to meet public and visitor demand and strengthen Hanoi's cultural brand internationally.
She emphasized that the Hanoi Flag Tower is not only a representative military structure built in the early 19th century but also a powerful historical and cultural symbol of the thousand-year-old capital. She said the monument has stood through historical changes as a vivid witness to patriotism, resilience and the aspiration for peace.
She added that the launch of "Flag Tower Memories," which integrates technology, performance, narration and immersive experiences, will help vividly recreate stories and memories associated with the site and deepen public understanding of patriotic traditions and heritage values.
Alongside this product, she encouraged continued development of professional and welcoming cultural offerings, including activities for the 2026 New Year and the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Horse, to promote and preserve Thang Long Hanoi's cultural heritage.
The Hanoi Flag Tower, also known as Ky Dai Hanoi, is a landmark within the Central Sector of the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The new tour is expected to enrich visitor experiences in the capital.
"Flag Tower Memories" is designed as an emotional journey featuring interconnected activities. Visitors follow a themed route around the Hanoi Flag Tower, explore its architectural levels and visit the exhibition space titled "The Hanoi Flag Tower and the Aspiration for Peace."
The highlight of the tour is the art performance "Colors of Hanoi," which recreates the city's heroic history from the National Resistance Day to the moment the liberation army returned to take over the capital on October 10 1954. The experience concludes with a tea reception and instant photo printing using on-site technology kiosks.
Le Hong Thai, head of the Investment Department at Hanoitourist, said the tour tells the story of the Hanoi Flag Tower through a new experiential language that combines tangible heritage, art, technology and services.
He said the product will be offered to the public during the 2026 New Year celebrations and the upcoming Lunar New Year.
The launch of "Flag Tower Memories" marks a concrete step in Hanoi's strategy to enhance the value of the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long heritage site, linking preservation with sustainable tourism and gradually transforming heritage into a living cultural space in contemporary life.
