Vu Dang Dinh, Member of the Standing Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee, Secretary of the Ward Party Committee and Chairman of the Ward People's Council, together with Nguyen Thanh Hai, Head of the Organization and Inspection Board of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi, present Tet gifts to households.
The program promotes the Vietnamese traditions of solidarity and mutual support, responding to the nationwide movement "Joining hands for the poor, leaving no one behind." It also reflects the role and responsibility of Party committees, authorities, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, departments, sectors, mass organizations, agencies, units and society as a whole in caring for and supporting disadvantaged households as Tet approaches.
According to Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hoan Kiem Ward and Head of the ward's "For the Poor" Fund Mobilization Board, alongside economic development, ensuring social security, improving social welfare and enhancing residents' quality of life remain key priorities of the ward and are identified as major political tasks.
Building on its role and responsibility, the ward's Vietnam Fatherland Front system has focused on mobilizing social resources to care for vulnerable groups, implement social security activities, and support households in difficult circumstances.
Over the past year, in response to the movement "Joining hands for the poor, leaving no one behind," and with the spirit of solidarity, the ward People's Committee, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, and the "For the Poor" Fund Mobilization Board coordinated to develop and implement plans and issued a call for donations to the ward-level "For the Poor" Fund.

In addition, VND250 million (US$10,200) was contributed to the Hanoi city-level "For the Poor" Fund.
Trinh Hoang Tung, Chairman of the Ward People's Committee, and Phung Phuong Thao, Head of the Party Committee's Organization and Development Board, present Tet gifts to households.
Implementing the plan of the Standing Board of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi on caring for and presenting gifts to near-poor and especially disadvantaged households during the Lunar New Year Binh Ngo 2026, the ward's Party committees, authorities, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, member organizations, agencies, units and local organizations have proactively reviewed beneficiary lists and developed plans to ensure meaningful and practical Tet support through visits, gift-giving, and assistance.
At the "Humanitarian Tet – Spring of Love" program, the ward decided to allocate funds from the "For the Poor" Fund and socialized sources to support 564 especially disadvantaged households. Each household received a gift worth VND1.5 million (US$61), bringing the total support amount for this round to VND846 million (US$34,500).
"This initiative reflects responsibility and humanity, highlighting the spirit of solidarity and sharing, toward the goal of ensuring that no resident is left without Tet. It shows the ward's care for disadvantaged households as Tet approaches and contributes in a practical way to the goal that every person and every family can enjoy Tet," Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh said.
