The program, organized jointly by the Hanoi Red Cross Society and the Nghe An Red Cross Society, was attended by Chairman of Hanoi Red Cross Society Le Tu Luc, Chairman of Nghe An Red Cross Society Nguyen Luong Hong, and Le Van Luong, member of the Party Committee of Nghe An Province and Chairman of Tuong Duong Commune People’s Council, along with 1,000 flood-affected households receiving assistance.
Chairman of Hanoi Red Cross Society presents relief packages to residents of Tuong Duong Commune
Leaders of the two Red Cross units, local authorities, and benefactors presented 1,000 relief packages—each containing instant noodles, blankets, seasoning products, and other necessities—with a total value of more than VND400 million (US$16,211). The support came from the Red Cross family of benefactor Ngoc Mai and donors in Hanoi.
In the spirit of “Hanoi for the nation, together with the nation” and “mutual support,” the activity continued a series of initiatives by the Hanoi Red Cross Society and partner organizations to assist residents in provinces affected by floods. These efforts help local communities recover from storm-related damage and stabilize daily life.
Earlier, as severe weather caused extensive human and material losses in the central and Central Highlands provinces of Dak Lak, Lam Dong, Khanh Hoa, Gia Lai, and Da Nang, the Hanoi Red Cross Society responded to the call of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee and the direction of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi.
On November 22, 2025, the Hanoi Red Cross issued an open letter calling on officials, members, volunteers, youth, agencies, organizations, individuals, and benefactors to support residents affected by flooding. Donations are being received from November 22 to December 15, 2025.

Each act of sharing reflects compassion of Hanoi residents toward flood-affected provinces
Within a few days after the call, the Hanoi Red Cross Society received numerous contributions through its hotline from individuals and organizations offering food items such as rice, noodles, biscuits, milk, and cash.
On November 24 and 25, the society received VND200 million (US$8,105) from Phuc Hoang An Service and Trading Joint Stock Company to support Khanh Hoa and Gia Lai provinces, allocating VND100 million ($4,052) to each province.
The society also received donations including 37 boxes of milk, 20 boxes of bread, 40 boxes of cereal, 24 boxes of instant noodles, 180 bottles of laundry detergent, 8 boxes of washing powder, and various cleaning supplies, soap, and towels contributed by organizations and residents.
Until December 15, the society will continue to accept support in cash, goods, or transfers through two designated bank accounts (Agribank and BIDV). All contributions will be used promptly to assist flood-affected residents. Donation and distribution activities will be publicly reported on the society’s Fanpage and official website to ensure transparency.
During this period, every act of kindness—no matter how small—reflects the compassion of Hanoi’s residents toward communities struggling with flood damage and helps provide resources for them to overcome difficulties and restore stability.
