VGP – Viet Nam International Real Estate Exhibition (VNREA EXPO 2016) was opened on July 20 in Ha Noi with over 1,000 booths displaying new products and technologies from 360 enterprises.

The enterprises consisted of 186 local firms, 94 ventures and 80 foreign enterprises from 12 countries and territories.

Nguyen Tran Nam, Chairman of the Viet Nam Real Estate Association (VNREA), said the event aimed to mark the 58th anniversary of the Vietnamese construction industry and promote the real estate and construction sector.

It would be organized annually at the National Architecture, Planning and Construction Exhibition Centre in Ha Noi. A similar event will be held in HCM City in September this year.

The expo has showcased housing, interiors and building material products. Several prestigious property developers have participated in the five-day exhibition, including Hai Phat, HUD and Viglacera Land.

Seminars on various topics, such as sources of capital for the domestic real estate market, investment potential and opportunities in the market, and issues related to providing low-income housing, will be held during the event.

Real estate experts will provide ideas on establishing a policy system to develop the real estate market and field questions on this and related subjects. The expo will also honor outstanding designers, real estate products and trading floors in localities nationwide.

In the first half, the real estate sector took the lead in the number of newly-established enterprises with 1,354, up 110% against the same period last year./.
