Head of the Hanoi Party Committee's Inspection Commission Do Anh Tuan presents the 80-year membership badge to veteran Party member Kim Que Dinh.
On January 28, the Khuong Dinh Ward Party Committee held a formal ceremony to award Party badges to outstanding Party members on the occasion of the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 2026).
Do Anh Tuan, member of the Hanoi Party Standing Committee and Head of the Hanoi Party Committee's Inspection Commission, attended and presented Party badges to veteran members.
In this award round, 143 Party members of the Khuong Dinh Ward Party Committee received Party badges.
At the ceremony, city and ward leaders solemnly presented Party badges marking 80, 70, 65, 60, 55, 50, 45, 40 and 30 years of Party membership. Among the recipients, one Party member received the 80-year Party badge and two members received the 70-year Party badge.
Kim Que Dinh, born on December 22, 1929, from Nguyet Duc Commune, Phu Tho Province, currently member of Cell 8 in Khuong Dinh Ward, received the 80-year Party badge. He joined the revolution in 1945.
During his career, Dinh held many key positions, including Director of the Political Department at the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Professional Education, Secretary of the Ministry's Party Committee, Chief of Office of the Party Central Committee's External Relations Commission, officer in charge of Western Europe external affairs in France and Vice Secretary General of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education.
He retired in 1994 and continued contributing at the local level. For his revolutionary service, he received many high-level medals and decorations from the Party and the State.
Head of the Hanoi Party Committee's Inspection Commission Do Anh Tuan presents 70-year badges to veteran Party members Nguyen Van Thuan and Phan Van Thuc.
Nguyen Van Thuan, born on August 8, 1936, from Tra Cau Ward, Quang Ngai Province, currently member of Cell 5 in Khuong Trung Area, Khuong Dinh Ward, received the 70-year Party badge.
He joined the revolution in 1953 and served in the Vietnam People's Army, holding the position of Deputy Director of Factory A34 under the Ministry of National Defense with the rank of colonel. He retired in 1989 and continued local activities, receiving many high-level honors.
Phan Van Thuc, born in 1934, from Quoc Oai Commune, Hanoi, currently member of Cell 13 in Khuong Trung Area, Khuong Dinh Ward, also received the 70-year Party badge.
He joined the revolution in 1951 and served in military medical units in the Northwest Military Region, Unit 959 in Laos and the Preventive Medicine Institute of the Military Medical Department, later working as a doctor with the rank of lieutenant colonel at the Ministry of National Defense.
Thuc retired in 1989 and is a war invalid. He also received many prestigious medals.
Presenting the badges and flowers, Head of the Hanoi Party Committee's Inspection Commission Do Anh Tuan stressed that the recipients represent the Party's tradition of loyalty, dedication and lifelong commitment to its ideals.
He said the Party badge awards reflect the Party, State and people's recognition of the members' major contributions and stand as a source of pride for their families, Party cells and the entire Khuong Dinh Ward Party Committee.
Other veteran Party members in Khuong Dinh Ward receive their honorable badges.
Briefing on the capital's overall situation, Tuan said that despite challenges in 2025, the Hanoi Party Committee renewed leadership methods, streamlined the organizational apparatus and strengthened decentralization.
Hanoi successfully held Party congresses at all levels, met all 24 socioeconomic targets, achieved 8.16% growth and recorded budget revenue exceeding VND700 trillion (US$27 billion), with contributions from grassroots units, including Khuong Dinh Ward.
He congratulated the recipients and expressed hope that veteran Party members will continue upholding revolutionary ethics, leading by example, contributing to grassroots Party and government building, inspiring younger generations and helping build a prosperous and civilized capital.
