On March 6, a meeting was held in Quang Minh Commune between candidates for the Hanoi People's Council for the 2026–2031 term and voters in Electoral Unit No. 30.
Seven candidates for the Hanoi People's Council participated in Electoral Unit No. 30, including member of the Hanoi Party Standing Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Council Tran The Cuong, member of the Hanoi Party Committee, Secretary of the Quang Minh Commune Party Committee and Chairman of the Quang Minh Commune People's Council Nguyen Thanh Liem, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and Deputy General Director of T&T Group JSC Do Vinh Quang, specialist of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Truong Van Tan, official of the Hanoi Veterans Association Doan Van Thanh, Secretary of the Tien Thang Commune Party Committee and Chairman of the Commune People's Council Hoang Anh Tuan and Le Hong Van, Vice Secretary of the Party Cell and Vice Principal of Dai Thinh B Kindergarten.
At the meeting, representatives of the Standing Board of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Minh Commune introduced brief biographies of each candidate.
Through their action programs, the candidates for the Hanoi People's Council for the 2026–2031 term clearly demonstrated responsibility, openness to feedback and determination to act in the interests of the public.
A key highlight of the commitments was placing the interests of citizens and voters at the center of all activities.
The candidates affirmed they would maintain close contact with voters, strictly conduct meetings with constituents before and after People's Council sessions, listen to citizens' concerns and aspirations and faithfully reflect them to relevant authorities.
Many candidates emphasized their responsibility to monitor and urge authorities to fully address voter recommendations, ensuring legitimate opinions are received and handled transparently without prolonged delays.
The candidates also pledged to strengthen their responsibilities as elected representatives by attending all People's Council sessions, actively participating in discussions and contributing to major policy decisions affecting the capital.

Oversight activities were identified as a key task, focusing on issues of public concern such as land management, environmental protection, public investment, administrative reform and social welfare.
The principle of matching words with actions, raising direct questions, avoiding difficult issues, firmly combating corruption, waste and negative practices and paying close attention to people's livelihoods and social welfare were common commitments emphasized by many candidates.
At the same time, each candidate presented specific commitments related to their professional experience and fields of expertise.
Some candidates stressed their determination to reflect the authentic voice of the people and bring practical issues to legislative discussions.
Others focused on contributing to institutional development and improving long-term policies for the capital's growth.
Notably, many commitments addressed specific local concerns, particularly in Quang Minh, Me Linh, Tien Thang and Yen Lang communes.
Candidates proposed promoting the development of clean industry, services and logistics, completing industrial zone infrastructure, investing in transportation links connecting key development corridors of the city and expanding trade and service sectors to create more jobs and improve local incomes.
They also proposed preserving traditional flower-growing villages, developing clean agriculture linked with eco-tourism and building strong brands for local agricultural products.
Several commitments focused on removing long-standing bottlenecks such as delayed urban projects, land allocation for service purposes, transportation infrastructure, environmental challenges and administrative procedures.
The candidates affirmed they would actively propose solutions, strengthen oversight and push for practical measures to address these persistent issues.
The candidates' action programs demonstrate shared goals of serving the public and improving the effectiveness of the People's Council while reflecting determination to contribute knowledge and experience to socio-economic development and to build a more civilized, modern and sustainable capital.

At the meeting, voter representatives from the communes expressed support for the candidates' action programs and hoped they would fulfill their commitments if elected to the Hanoi People's Council.
At the same time, voters proposed several issues to candidates Tran The Cuong, Nguyen Thanh Liem, Do Vinh Quang and Hoang Anh Tuan, including resolving difficulties and bottlenecks to promote urban and socio-economic development across the four communes in the Me Linh area so they can gradually approach the development level of inner-city wards.
Voters also suggested promoting the value of historical and cultural relics in the four communes and creating stable employment opportunities for rural workers in the area.
