Hanoi leaders offer flowers to honor V.I. Lenin at his 156th birth anniversary.
On April 22, marking the 156th anniversary of the birth of V.I. Lenin (April 22, 1870-2026), a delegation representing the Hanoi Party Committee, Hanoi People's Council, Hanoi People's Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi laid flowers at the V.I. Lenin Monument in Chi Lang Park on Dien Bien Phu Street, Ba Dinh Ward.
The delegation was led by Tran Duc Thang, Politburo member, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee and Head of the Hanoi National Assembly Delegation.
Participants included Nguyen Trong Dong, member of the Party Central Committee and Standing Vice Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee; Tran The Cuong, Standing Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Council; Bui Huyen Mai, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi; and Truong Viet Dung, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee.
At the monument, Hanoi leaders expressed deep respect and gratitude for the great contributions of V.I. Lenin, an outstanding political theorist and prominent leader of the global working class and laboring people.

V.I. Lenin was born on April 22, 1870, in Simbirsk, now Ulyanovsk. He made immense contributions to the global proletarian revolutionary movement and to the struggles for peace, independence, freedom of nations, and human happiness.
