In 2025, the award was organized early, systematically and in line with the plan of the Standing Board of the Hanoi Party Committee.
According to the organizing committee, by December 6, 2025, a total of 323 entries from 36 media agencies had been submitted, an increase of 139 entries and 10 units compared to the previous year. The entries included 83 print articles, 206 online articles, 6 radio pieces and 28 television works.
In addition to seven Hanoi-based media agencies, the award attracted participation from 29 central, ministerial and local media organizations, including many major outlets, reflecting its growing appeal and strong national interest in Party building and political system development in the capital.
Not only did the number of submissions increase, but their quality also showed clear improvement. Many works were carefully produced, combining theoretical depth with practical relevance, closely aligned with the city's key political tasks.
Authors explored diverse perspectives, from grassroots realities and policy analysis to highlighting innovative models and effective practices in Party building.
Authors receive first prizes from the organizing committee.
The content focused on key issues such as implementing Politburo Resolution No. 15-NQ/TW on Hanoi's development to 2030 with a vision to 2045; enforcement of the Capital Law; streamlining organizational structures; improving the effectiveness of the political system; administrative reform and digital transformation; and enhancing grassroots Party activities and public service ethics.
Many works reflected positive changes in grassroots Party building, showcasing innovative approaches and exemplary models in leadership, governance and public service.
A notable highlight this year was the strong growth of digital journalism, with modern formats such as megastories, emagazines, infographics and videos, making Party-building topics more engaging and accessible.
Alongside attracting high-quality submissions, the judging process was conducted rigorously and scientifically by the Hanoi Party Committee's Publicity, Education and Mass Mobilization Commission in coordination with the city's Journalists Association.
From December 12 to December 23, 2025, the preliminary panel selected 80 works from 30 media agencies for the final round, including 44 from Hanoi-based outlets and 36 from central, ministerial and local agencies.
Based on objective evaluation, the final jury selected two outstanding media organizations and 34 exemplary works for awards, including one special prize, three A prizes, five B prizes, seven C prizes, three thematic C prizes and 15 consolation prizes.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong praised participating media organizations and journalists and congratulated award-winning individuals and collectives.
He noted that 2025 was a particularly significant year, marked by notable achievements in Hanoi's development.
The Hanoi Party Committee has continued to innovate leadership thinking, methods and style with a focus on action, substance and effectiveness.
Phong emphasized that these achievements were supported by the important contributions of media organizations and journalists.
With political responsibility, professional integrity and dedication to the capital, central and local media have closely followed Party-building efforts and political system development, providing timely and comprehensive coverage of reforms.
Media outlets have also identified and promoted effective models, innovative approaches, exemplary individuals, as well as challenges and bottlenecks in the city's development.
Phong noted that 2026 will be a pivotal year, marking the first year of implementing the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress.
Five second prizes delivered to authors and writers at the event.
At the same time, Hanoi is actively advancing three critical strategic priorities and must seize opportunities and favorable conditions while acting decisively with the highest level of responsibility.
The city will continue to innovate leadership methods, improve the effectiveness of the political system, build a capable and reputable cadre, promote democracy alongside discipline and inspire a spirit of dedication for the capital and the nation.
Phong stressed that in this development process, the press plays a particularly important role.
He called on media organizations and journalists to uphold the proud traditions of Vietnam's revolutionary press, closely follow the city's political tasks and continuously improve the quality, critical depth and constructive nature of reporting on Party building and the political system.
He also encouraged the press to vividly reflect Hanoi's reform efforts, highlight effective models and contribute to safeguarding the Party's ideological foundation while strengthening public trust.
From the results of this year's award, the Hanoi Vice Party Secretary expressed confidence that journalists will continue to produce valuable works on Party building and across all sectors of Hanoi's development.
On this occasion, Phong officially launched the ninth journalism prize on Party building and the political system of Hanoi for 2026, expressing confidence that it will continue to attract strong participation from media agencies in Hanoi, central agencies and other provinces and cities.
