Hanoi sets tuition levels for high-quality public preschools and K-12 schools

The Hanoi People's Council on the morning of November 27 approved a Resolution on tuition levels for high-quality public preschools and general education institutions, as well as public schools founded by universities, colleges and research institutes for the 2025–2026 school year, , at its 28th session.

Vice Chairwoman of the municipal People's Committee Vu Thu Ha presented the proposal at the session.

The Resolution sets tuition levels for in-person learning at public preschools, high-quality public schools and public general education institutions. 

At Sa Dong Urban Preschool, tuition is VND5.1 million (US$204) for children aged 12 to under 18 months, VND4.3 million (US$172) for children aged 18 to under 36 months and VND4.3 million (US$172) for kindergarten.

At Preschool 20-10, tuition is VND5.1 million (US$204) for both nursery and kindergarten. At Viet Hung Urban Preschool, tuition is VND3.8 million (US$152) for nursery, VND3.8 million (US$152) for kindergarten with three English sessions per week and VND5.1 million (US$204) for kindergarten with five sessions per week.

At Viet Bun Preschool, tuition is VND3.85 million (US$154) for nursery and VND3.65 million (US$146) for kindergarten. At Preschool B, tuition is VND4.5 million (US$180) for children aged 18 to under 24 months, VND4.3 million (US$172) for children aged 24 to under 36 months, VND3.3 million (US$132) for kindergarten with three English sessions per week and VND4.8 million (US$192) for kindergarten with five sessions per week.

At Viet Trieu Friendship Preschool, tuition is VND5.1 million (US$204) for children aged 18 to under 24 months, VND4.3 million (US$172) for children aged 24 to under 36 months, VND4.3 million (US$172) for kindergarten with three English sessions per week and VND5.1 million (US$204) for kindergarten with five sessions per week.

At Mai Dich Preschool, tuition is VND4 million (US$160) for children aged 18 to under 24 months, VND3.8 million (US$152) for children aged 24 to under 36 months, VND4 million (US$160) for kindergarten with three English sessions per week and VND4.6 million (US$184) for kindergarten with five sessions per week.

Overview of the session. 

For Nam Tu Liem Primary School, tuition is VND4.65 million (US$186) for grades 1 to 4 and VND4.45 million (US$178) for grade 5. At Sa Dong Urban Primary School, tuition is VND5.5 million (US$220) for grades 1 and 2, VND5.3 million (US$212) for grade 3 and VND5 million (US$200) for grades 4 and 5. At Trang An Primary School, tuition is VND3.7 million (US$148) for all grades.

For Nam Tu Liem Secondary School, tuition is VND4.02 million (US$161) for grades 6 to 9. At Cau Giay Secondary School, tuition is VND3.3 million (US$132) for all grades. At Thanh Xuan Secondary School, tuition is VND4 million (US$160) for grades 6 to 8 and VND3.7 million (US$148) for grade 9. At Le Loi Secondary School, tuition is VND4.4 million (US$176) for all grades.

At Phan Huy Chu Dong Da High School, tuition is VND6.1 million (US$244) for grades 10 to 12. At Le Loi High School, tuition is VND3 million (US$120) for non-enhanced English classes and VND3.9 million (US$156) for enhanced English classes. At Chu Van An Secondary School, tuition is VND4.2 million (US$168).

For public schools founded by universities, colleges and research institutes, tuition is VND4 million (US$160) at the Gifted Secondary School of Hanoi National University of Education, VND3.2 million (US$128) at the university's High School for the Gifted and VND2.365 million (US$95) for the secondary level and VND2.64 million (US$106) for the high school level at Nguyen Tat Thanh School. At the Foreign Language Specialized High School under Vietnam National University, tuition is VND3.2 million (US$128).

Online learning tuition is set at 75 percent of in-person tuition, rounded to the nearest thousand.

The Resolution applies to the 2025–2026 academic year.
