At the ceremony, Mai Trong Thai, Chairman of the Nam Tu Liem District People's Committee, announced that the extended road project spans approximately 2,673 meters, with a total investment of more than VND705 billion (around US$28 million). The road begins at the intersection with Thang Long Boulevard in Me Tri Ward, Nam Tu Liem District, and ends at the boundary with Duong Noi Urban Area in Ha Dong District.

Overview of the event.
The road is designed according to inter-district standards with a maximum speed limit of 60 kilometers per hour. Its cross-sectional width is 40 meters, while the connecting section to Thang Long Boulevard, about 110 meters long, features a width of 100 meters.
Construction of the project began on February 21, 2023. Despite various challenges, the Nam Tu Liem District Project Management Board and the construction units managed to complete the road ahead of schedule, just in time to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification. The project was completed with safety, quality, and urban aesthetics in mind. It is expected to help ease traffic congestion on surrounding roads and promote economic and social development in the capital.
At the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Vice Chairman Duong Duc Tuan praised the efforts of the Nam Tu Liem District People's Committee, relevant departments, construction engineers, workers, and consulting teams who overcame difficulties to complete the project on time and with high quality.
"The inauguration and opening of the project holds great significance. It promptly addresses traffic congestion on major arterial roads with high traffic volumes, such as Thang Long Boulevard, Road 70, To Huu Street, and Le Quang Dao Street, thereby meeting the travel needs of the people," said Vice Chairman Duong Duc Tuan.

Delegates at the event.
To ensure the project operates effectively after its completion, Vice Chairman Tuan instructed the Department of Construction, the Hanoi Police Department, and the Nam Tu Liem District People's Committee to develop traffic management plans, ensure safety, maintain the landscape, and uphold urban environmental hygiene.
The Nam Tu Liem District People's Committee and the district's Project Management Board have begun inspections and handovers of various project components, including sidewalks, green spaces, lighting systems, technical infrastructure, roads, and the bridge over the Nhue River, to facilitate maintenance. The Department of Construction will take over the integrated infrastructure for ongoing management, in coordination with the City Police to monitor traffic and adjust signal timings at intersections along the extended Le Quang Dao Street to match vehicle flow.
