Ensuring safe and reliable power amid mounting challenges
Reports presented at the conference showed that 2025 was a year of unprecedented challenges for EVNHANOI. Extreme weather, including prolonged heatwaves, storms and floods, occurred across wide areas while electricity demand surged sharply, especially during summer peak periods.
At the same time, rising material costs and the requirement to ensure power supply for numerous major political and socio-economic events in Hanoi and nationwide placed additional pressure on the system.
In this context, EVNHANOI mobilized all available resources and implemented coordinated technical management and operational solutions to ensure safe, stable and continuous electricity supply for socio-economic development, national defense and security and daily life in the capital.
Notably, the corporation successfully ensured uninterrupted power for the 80th anniversary of National Day with 44 large-scale events, as well as many important central and city-level conferences and meetings with no incidents recorded.

In 2025, EVNHANOI's commercial electricity output exceeded 26.5 billion kWh, while peak capacity reached nearly 6,000 MW, an increase of almost 14 percent compared with 2024. Power loss rates were controlled at around 3.1 percent, meeting targets assigned by the group. Indicators on supply reliability and customer service quality continued to improve significantly.
Alongside power supply, EVNHANOI stepped up investment in grid construction and modernization. During the year, hundreds of medium- and low-voltage projects were put into operation and several key 110–220kV projects were completed. These efforts enhanced supply capacity, eased system overloads and gradually completed the capital's power infrastructure in a more synchronized and modern direction.
Digital transformation and organizational reform underpin sustainable growth
One of EVNHANOI's most notable achievements in 2025 was the strong push for digital transformation, the application of science and technology and innovation across all areas of operation. The digital ecosystem serving corporate governance production and business operations, technical management and customer care continued to be upgraded, helping improve efficiency, enhance transparency and raise service quality.

At the same time, the corporation completed the reorganization of its affiliated power companies toward a more streamlined and effective structure aligned with the two-tier local government model and development requirements in the new period. The restructuring and reduction of organizational layers were carried out carefully and methodically, ensuring uninterrupted operations and power supply.
Trade union activities, employee welfare and social security work also received continued attention, fostering internal unity and motivation among staff to fulfill assigned tasks.
Power infrastructure must stay one step ahead
Addressing the conference, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen praised EVNHANOI's efforts and comprehensive results in 2025, noting its important contribution to the capital's overall achievements.
He highlighted that Hanoi maintained positive economic momentum in 2025 with GRDP estimated to grow by about 8.5 percent and all 24 socio-economic development targets met, including significant contributions from the power sector.
Entering 2026, the first year of the 2026–2030 five-year socio-economic development plan, Hanoi has set a growth target of at least 11 percent. This reflects strong political determination and requires coordinated and decisive action from the entire political system and business community, with the power sector playing a key infrastructure role.

Overview of the event.
Quyen urged EVNHANOI to focus on several priority tasks. These include accelerating green and digital transformation, developing and implementing a greenhouse gas emissions reduction roadmap and expanding rooftop solar power, electric vehicle charging stations and clean energy models.
He also called for faster progress in upgrading, renovating and undergrounding power grids, especially in central urban areas, to improve urban aesthetics, ensure electrical safety and enhance supply reliability.

On behalf of the Hanoi People's Committee, Vice Chairman Nguyen Manh Quyen presents the prime minister's certificates of merit to the representatives of EVN Hanoi.
He noted that the city is launching many major projects, including the Red River landscape axis. He asked EVNHANOI to proactively propose power infrastructure solutions and to closely coordinate with the Department of Industry and Trade and related units to ensure proper input planning and reliable electricity supply for newly launched mega projects.
In addition, EVNHANOI was urged to stay ahead in planning, reviewing and implementing medium- and low-voltage grid development in line with the capital's master plan, ensuring timely power supply for key projects, industrial parks, high-tech zones and major urban development programs.
In recognition of its achievements, two EVNHANOI employees were awarded the Second-Class Labor Order by the State President and certificates of merit from the Prime Minister. Many collectives and individuals also received commendations from Vietnam Electricity.
