The Hanoi People's Committee on July 17 issued Plan No. 189/KH-UBND to roll out the 2025 communication campaign titled "For Traffic Safety in the Capital."
The program aims to mobilize the entire political system and public support to ensure traffic order and safety across the city.
Under the theme "Safe journey, shaping the future," the campaign seeks to raise awareness among traffic participants and promote traffic culture among young people, especially students.
Several key activities will be implemented as part of the program. One major component is a contest focusing on traffic safety.
The contest will include online multiple-choice quizzes to test knowledge of traffic laws and a writing competition highlighting examples of positive traffic behavior and initiatives to reduce congestion and accidents.
Public events will also be organized to raise awareness. These include a peak communication drive, a campaign to promote traffic safety along selected city streets, and the display of banners on various news websites.
An awards ceremony for contest winners will be held in conjunction with the official launch of the program.
In addition, educational activities on traffic safety laws will be conducted at selected schools to improve legal awareness among students.
A dedicated website, giaothonghanoi.kinhtedothi.vn, will be maintained to share videos, articles, and real-life stories reflecting both good practices and violations in traffic behavior.
This platform will serve as a central hub for updates and awareness materials throughout the year.
Regarding commendation, the Hanoi People's Committee honor organizations and individuals with outstanding contributions.
Kinh te & Do thi (Economic & Urban) Newspaper will draft award criteria and coordinate with relevant departments to carry out the necessary procedures.
The program involves coordination among more than 15 agencies, organizations, and unions.
The Organizing Committee is responsible for disseminating the plan, issuing competition regulations, launching publicity campaigns on multiple platforms, and compiling reports on implementation for the People's Committee.
Kinh te & Do thi Newspaper will lead the overall coordination, working with departments, agencies, and businesses to implement the entire campaign.
Responsibilities include developing contest rules, operating the media site, producing content for print and online newspapers, organizing school-based competitions, signing cooperation agreements, seeking sponsorship, compiling reports, and proposing awards.
The Hanoi Department of Construction, the Hanoi Police Department, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, the Hanoi Youth Union, and the Hanoi Radio and Television will collaborate to extend the campaign's reach to all wards, communes, schools, businesses, and the general public.
The Hanoi People's Committee has requested that the 2025 program be innovative, impactful, and meaningful, with real influence on the community and contest participants.
The city also stressed the importance of strictly adhering to legal regulations during the campaign's implementation, in line with the theme of the 2025 National Traffic Safety Year.
