The Hanoi Youth Union announced that the 2025 Honoring Ceremony for Outstanding Valedictorians will take place at 8:00 p.m. on November 14 at the Special National Relic Site Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam.

This year, 95 valedictorians from universities and academies in Hanoi will be commended. Many of them are Party members, holders of the "Five Good Student" title at school and city levels, and authors of scientific research projects, award-winning topics and innovative initiatives in domestic and international competitions.
Among the outstanding honorees are Tran Thanh Nam of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, who achieved a perfect 4.0 out of 4.0 GPA and received a Master's scholarship under the PhD Track program at Institut Polytechnique de Paris in France.
Another is Thieu Ngoc Mai of National Economics University, who also earned a 4.0 GPA, won a Master's scholarship at the University of Warwick, ranked among the world's top 72 universities, and worked as an AI Engineer at Viettel AI during her fourth year of study.
Ta Quang Cong of the People's Security Academy is a representative of the armed forces sector, holder of the "Central-level Five Good Student" title and multiple commendations from the Minister of Public Security for excellence in both academics and training.
The honoring program will take place on November 13 and 14.
The valedictorians will take part in traditional activities including a tribute ceremony at President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, an incense-offering ceremony at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel, and an exchange event with students of Chu Van An High School.
They will sign the Golden Book of Outstanding Valedictorians 2025 and attend the official honoring ceremony.
The 2025 ceremony marks the 23rd consecutive year that Hanoi has honored outstanding university valedictorians.
Over the past 22 years, 2,356 valedictorians have been recognized and awarded Certificates of Merit by the Hanoi People's Committee. This meaningful recognition helps inspire dedication and continuous effort among young generations, contributing to the development of the capital and the country.
