Speaking on behalf of the Standing Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee, Thanh expressed his deep gratitude for the significant contributions made by the veteran Party members in Cau Giay over the years.
He encouraged them to continue promoting their revolutionary moral values, pioneering spirit, and exemplary character by inspiring younger generations to follow the policies of the Party and the laws of the State.
Chairman Tran Sy Thanh also called on the veteran members to remain active in Party-building efforts, participate in strengthening local government, and pass on revolutionary traditions to the youth, contributing to building a prosperous, cultured, and modern Hanoi.
Updating attendees on the city's socio-economic situation in the early months of 2025, the Chairman noted that despite complex and unpredictable developments globally and regionally, which pose many challenges to development and social security, Hanoi has made notable progress.
The Hanoi Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee have mobilized the full strength of the political system and people to carry out key tasks effectively.
As a result, in the first four months of 2025, Hanoi recorded positive achievements across multiple sectors, including economic growth, national defense, security, and foreign affairs.
Several indicators showed strong year-on-year growth: state budget revenue reached 61.4% of the annual target, retail sales and consumer service revenue rose by 13.4%, and foreign direct investment (FDI) increased by 31%.
On behalf of city leaders, Thanh acknowledged and praised the efforts and dedication of generations of officials, Party members, armed forces, and citizens of Cau Giay District.
"The achievements of Cau Giay in recent years are an inseparable part of the development of both the capital and the nation," the Chairman affirmed.
He called on local authorities in Cau Giay to continue caring for the material and spiritual well-being of veteran Party members, and to listen to their feedback and wisdom, especially from the most experienced members, in order to build a more civilized, cultured, and modern Hanoi.
