The delegates of Hanoi, led by Vice Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong, visit and congratulate the Lao Embassy on the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party.
A delegation from Hanoi, led by Standing Vice Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong, on March 20 visited the Lao Embassy in Vietnam to extend congratulations on the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (March 22, 1955 – March 22, 2025).
Accompanying the delegation were Phung Thi Hong Ha, Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Hanoi People's Council, and Nguyen Manh Quyen, Deputy Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee.
Vice Secretary Phong praised the leadership of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, which have guided Lao people to overcome great challenges, and achieve historic victories for national liberation, development and defense.
He congratulated the Party, the Government and the people of Laos for a stable political system, strengthened national security and defense, economic growth, and improved social order.
Phong also praised their expanding international relations, which have elevated the position of the Lao People's Democratic Republic in the region and on the global stage.
These achievements are also a source of joy and encouragement for Vietnam, including the Party, the government and people of Hanoi, he said.
On this special occasion, Vice Secretary Phong extended his best wishes to Ambassador Khamphao Ernthavanh and all staff of the Lao Embassy in Vietnam.
Sharing an overview of Hanoi's recent development, he said that Hanoi's relations with Vientiane and other Lao localities have grown stronger, more practical and more effective.
A key milestone was Hanoi's successful organization of a training program for vocational teachers from Vientiane, he said.
Phong was confident that the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and Lao people will continue achieving greater successes in all fields to build a peaceful, independent, democratic, united, and prosperous country.
Hanoi remains committed to strengthening the special Vietnam-Laos relationship, ensuring its depth, substance, and effectiveness across all sectors, he said.
Ambassador Khamphao Ernthavanh expressed gratitude for the warm sentiments and well wishes from Hanoi's leaders.
She thanked the Vietnamese Party, State, and people for their unwavering support and solidarity, especially during Laos' most challenging times, describing its as deeply meaningful and invaluable.
The ambassador highly appreciated the growing relationship between Vientiane and other Lao provinces with Hanoi.
She reiterated that the Vietnam-Laos bond is a profound and enduring friendship, and pledged to continue fostering this special partnership for the lasting development of both nations.
