According to Nguyen Thanh Loi, Editor-in-Chief of the Economic & Urban Newspaper, the program is not just a media campaign but also a mission aimed at raising public awareness about environmental protection and climate change response. In 2024, the program held even greater significance as it is part of the events celebrating the 70th anniversary of Hanoi's Liberation Day.

A highlight of the program was a discussion titled "Reducing Emissions through the Transition to Green Transportation: A Story of Neither Easy nor Hard." This forum brought together leading experts to explore solutions for developing green transport, reducing air pollution, and improving quality of life. Notably, the environmental writing contest received 2,976 entries, nearly ten times more than the first year (2020).
The submissions focused on pressing topics such as waste sorting and treatment, improving the environment of rivers, lakes, craft villages, and air pollution. Many entries adopted modern journalistic formats, such as long-form articles and eMagazines, which greatly expanded their impact.
In his speech at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee, Nguyen Trong Dong, emphasized that this year's program not only raised public awareness but also promoted practical solutions for Hanoi's sustainable development. The success of the event is a clear testament to the collective efforts of agencies, organizations, and the public in environmental protection.
