The Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations (HUFO) on July 4 held a conference to review people-to-people diplomacy efforts in H1/2025 and outline directions for the remaining months of the year.

The Management Board of Hanoi's High-Tech and Industrial Zones and the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations on June 18 signed a coordination regulation to promote people-to-people diplomacy in connection with the development of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation within the industrial and high-tech zones in the city.

As part of activities to strengthen friendship and international cooperation, the Hanoi's people-to-people diplomacy delegation, led by Nguyen Lan Huong, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi, continued its visit, survey, and expansion of people-to-people and cultural exchanges between the capital and major cities of South Africa.

Continuing the 2024 People-to-People Diplomacy Program, a delegation from Hanoi, led by Nguyen Lan Huong, Chairwoman of the Hanoi Fatherland Front Committee, held a meeting with ViMariel JSC, a Vietnamese business actively investing in Cuba.

Vietnam-Cuba relations are believed to elevate on people-to-people exchange.

As part of the 2024 people-to-people diplomacy program, a Hanoi delegation, led by Nguyen Lan Huong, Chairwoman of the Hanoi Fatherland Front, met with Marcelle Torres Alves Okuno, recommended for appointment as Vietnam's Honorary Consul in Brazil.

The Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations has recently launched a program for sharing experiences in implementing people's diplomacy among regional associations in the Asia-Pacific region.
