The delegation of State leaders, led by General Secretary To Lam, pays tribute to President Ho Chi Minh on May 19.
Senior leaders of the Communist Party, State, National Assembly, Government, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front on May 19 paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum in Hanoi, marking the 135th anniversary of his birth (May 19, 1890 – May 19, 2025).
The delegation was led by General Secretary To Lam, and included former General Secretary Nong Duc Manh, President Luong Cuong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, former National Assembly Chairmen Nguyen Sinh Hung and Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, and Standing Member of the Party Secretariat Tran Cam Tu.
Also present in the delegation were members and former members of the Politburo and the Party Central Committee, along with leaders of central-level agencies, ministries, and mass organizations.
A wreath bearing the message "Eternal gratitude to the great President Ho Chi Minh" was placed at the mausoleum.
President Ho Chi Minh is revered as a shining embodiment of Vietnamese morality, intellect, courage, and conscience. He is remembered as a brilliant leader, the great teacher of the Vietnamese revolution, a national liberation hero, a world cultural icon, a model international communist soldier, and a close friend to peace-loving people across the world.
In front of his resting place, Party and State leaders solemnly expressed their deep respect and gratitude for his immense contributions to the Vietnamese revolutionary cause.
They pledged to continue following his teachings and example in thought, ethics, and lifestyle, and to strive to fulfill his vision of building a strong, prosperous, and happy Vietnam.
Following the visit to the mausoleum, the delegation laid a wreath and offered incense at the Monument to Heroes and Martyrs on Bac Son Street, paying tribute to those who gave their lives for national liberation, independence, unity, peace, and the well-being of the people.
The wreath bore the inscription "Eternal gratitude to the heroic martyrs."
The Hanoi delegation visits and honors President Ho Chi Minh.
On the same day, a delegation from the Hanoi Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, led by Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee and head of the city's National Assembly delegation, also paid tribute at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum.
The delegation included Permanent Vice Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong, Chairman of the People's Council and Deputy Head of the city's National Assembly delegation Nguyen Ngoc Tuan, along with members of the Standing Committee, leaders of the municipal People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front, departments, and mass organizations.
Honoring President Ho Chi Minh's teachings and deep affection for the capital, the city's leaders vowed to uphold unity and fulfill the city's 2025 work theme of "Discipline, Responsibility, Action, Innovation, and Development."
They reaffirmed their commitment to lead by example, implement the 17th Party Congress Resolution of Hanoi, and ensure the capital remains a cultural, civilized, and modern city, worthy of its role as the heart of the nation.
The delegation also visited the Monument to Heroes and Martyrs on Bac Son Street to commemorate those who sacrificed their lives for the country.
Also on May 19, delegations from the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, the Central Public Security Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security, as well as a large number of officials and citizens, visited the mausoleum to pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh and honor fallen heroes.
