Phung Thi Hong Ha, Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Hanoi People's Council, presents Party membership badges to veteran members in Long Bien District.
The Long Bien District Party Committee on May 14 held a ceremony to present Party membership badges to local Party members on the occasion of the upcoming May 19, 2025 celebration.
According to Vu Xuan Truong, Head of the Organization Commission of the Long Bien District Party Committee, a total of 464 Party members received badges during this round.
Among them, one member was honored with an 80-year badge, three received 75-year badges, three received 70-year badges, ten were awarded 65-year badges, 43 received 60-year badges, 29 received 55-year badges, and 32 received 50-year badges.
At the ceremony, Phung Thi Hong Ha, Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Hanoi People's Council, presented the 80-year Party membership badge to Nguyen Quoc Cuong, a member of the Party Committee of Ngoc Thuy Ward.
She also awarded 75-year badges to Vu Ngoc Bich (Party Committee of Duc Giang Ward) and Nguyen Trong Thuy (Party Committee of Thach Ban Ward), and a 70-year badge to Nguyen Thi Kim (Party Committee of Duc Giang Ward).
Secretary of the Long Bien District Party Committee Duong Hoai Nam, together with other district leaders, presented the 65-, 60-, 55-, and 50-year badges to the remaining honorees.
Speaking on behalf of the awardees, Vu Ngoc Bich, who received the 75-year badge, expressed his pride and deep sense of honor in being a lifelong member of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
He emphasized that this honor comes with great responsibility, and pledged that he and his fellow Party members would continue to uphold Party values, cultivate moral character, and act as unifying forces within the Party and as bridges between the Party and the people.
Bich also affirmed his commitment to countering hostile narratives and defending the Party's ideological foundation, protecting the socialist regime, and safeguarding the Vietnamese homeland.
In her congratulatory speech, Vice Chairwoman Ha emphasized that the Party membership badge is a symbol of the Party's, State's, and people's recognition of the contributions made by its members to national independence, as well as to the cause of building and defending the country.
She highlighted the members' dedication, personal development, and continued contributions as valuable assets to the Party.
Ha called on the decorated Party members to continue promoting their revolutionary virtues, led by example, and use their wealth of experience to support the building of the Party and government.
She described them as living witnesses of the nation's history and role models for future generations, bridging the proud past with the country's ongoing renewal.
On this occasion, the Hanoi legislative official spoke about the upcoming restructuring of local administrative units and the new two-tier government model set to take effect from July 1, 2025.
She urged Long Bien District leaders, regardless of their position, to set a strong example by fulfilling all assigned responsibilities and strictly implementing Directive No.24-CT/TU issued by the Standing Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee on enhancing discipline, responsibility, and efficiency within the city's political system. She stressed the need to uphold discipline and unity in the Party and actively contribute to the continued development of the capital city.
