Hanoi will host an exhibition showcasing the nation's socioeconomic achievements made in the past 80 years.
The Hanoi People's Committee on June 7 issued Official Letter No. 3944/UBND-KGVX on organizing an exhibition highlighting socio-economic achievements in celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2, 1945 – September 2, 2025).
The directive follows Decision No. 90/QD-BTC dated July 1, 2025, issued by the Organizing Committee of the Exhibition on Socio-Economic Achievements to approve the plan for the event.
In response, the Hanoi government has assigned tasks to relevant departments and agencies to ensure the city's participation.
To develop, decorate, and operate Hanoi's dedicated exhibition space, the Institute for Socio-Economic Development Studies, the Department of Industry and Trade, and the Department of Agriculture and Environment will coordinate efforts to showcase the capital's cultural, economic, and social achievements.
These displays will be part of the themed area "Prosperous Provinces, Strong Nation" as well as other designated sections of the exhibition.
Regarding traffic organization and safety, the Hanoi Police Department will take the lead, working with the Department of Construction and related agencies to plan and manage traffic flows.
The city will arrange both free and paid public transport services and ensure traffic order, fire prevention and control, and emergency response measures.
Specific scenarios and contingency plans will be developed to maintain public safety during the event.
In terms of healthcare and food safety, the Hanoi Department of Health will establish a dedicated medical task force, prepare essential supplies, equipment, and medicines, and oversee medical care and food hygiene for participants and visitors.
To enhance the celebratory atmosphere, the Department of Culture and Sports has been assigned to organize festivals, creative camps, art performances, and tourism and culinary fairs for residents and guests.
For public information and promotional efforts, the Department of Culture and Sports will also be responsible for improving public landscapes, installing banners and posters in residential areas, tourist spots, and exhibition zones.
The department will also direct local media to provide coverage before, during, and after the event.
In addition, the Department of Finance will guide the budgeting process, including planning, appraisal, approval, and disbursement of funds in accordance with legal regulations.
