More than 6,600 people in Minh Chau Commune will benefit from the free medical check-up and consutancy program.
The government of Minh Chau Commune has announced a plan to provide free medical check-ups, consultations, and medicine to all residents in the area throughout 2025.
More than 6,600 people are expected to benefit from the program.
Minh Chau is the first locality in the country to implement universal health screenings following the launch of the two-tier local government model.
The initiative aims to improve public health and implement the directive of Party General Secretary To Lam, which calls for annual health check-ups for all citizens.
It also reflects the conclusions of the first session of the Minh Chau Commune Party Executive Committee regarding healthcare for all residents.
The program will also celebrate the 80th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day (September 2, 1945 – September 2, 2025), the 78th War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 – July 27, 2025), and the upcoming 2025–2030 Party Congress of Minh Chau Commune.
The plan sets a target of 100% coverage, with medical check-ups organized in five phases for maximum efficiency and convenience.
- The first round will be held on July 19, 2025, for 1,200 residents aged 60 and above, people with disabilities, and those facing difficult circumstances. These groups are prioritized due to their higher health risks and limited access to medical services.
- The second round is scheduled for August 2025 and will cover 1,500 residents from Zones 1 and 3 in Chu Chang hamlet.
- The third round, also set for August, will include 1,500 residents from Zone 2 of Chu Chang hamlet and Zone 5 of Chu Chau hamlet.
- The fourth round will take place in September 2025 and serve 1,500 residents from Zones 6 and 7 in Chu Chau hamlet.
- The fifth and final round is also planned for September and will provide care for 1,000 residents from Zone 4 of Chu Chang hamlet.
All examinations will be conducted at Minh Chau Primary School, with the participation of 60 highly qualified doctors, nurses, and technicians from major hospitals in Hanoi.
These include Military Hospital 105, the National Hospital of Endocrinology, the National Lung Hospital, Bach Mai Hospital, the National Hospital of Traditional Medicine, 19/8 Hospital of the Ministry of Public Security, K Hospital, and E Hospital.
Residents will receive comprehensive internal medicine check-ups, including cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, musculoskeletal, digestive, oncology, endocrinology, and nutritional assessments. They will also receive vaccination consultations and free medication.
