Hanoi asks people not to gather in large crowds (21:35 18/09/2020)

HNP - Hanoi’s Steering Committee on COVID-19 prevention and control issued Announcement No. 24/TB-BCD on September 16, stating the conclusion of its head Ngo Van Quy, who is also the Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee, at the meeting with local authorities on pandemic response.

Regarding the tasks for the time ahead, Quy asked district- and commune-level People’s Committee to continue strengthen communication on COVID-19 prevention measures, which are masking up in public, washing hands with soap, limiting crowed gatherings in public areas, keeping a safe distance from each other, making health declaration as required, among others,
According to him, the city will continue to limit crowded events like meetings and festivals to prevent the spread of SARS-CoV-2. 
Local authorities are allowed to decide the organization of essential events, providing that COVID-19 prevention and control measures are implemented strictly so as to ensure the safety for participants.
Under the document, district- and commune-level People’s Committees are in charge of urging businesses with catering services to effectively carry out pandemic prevention measures under the instruction of the Ministry of Health. 
The municipal authorities allowed the reopening of karaoke parlors, bars and discos from September 16 and these establishments must comply with COVID-19 countermeasures.
