8,000 people joins Ha Noi Run For Children 2015 (16:56 7/12/2015)

HNP – Ha Noi Run For Children 2015 took place at the main gate of Thong Nhat (Reunification) Park on December 6. It’s an annual activity to raise funds for the treatment of disadvantaged children with cancer and heart disease.

The event attracts a large number of people.

Jointly organized by the Viet Nam-Canada Friendship Association (VCFA), the Ha Noi Union of Friendship Organizations (HAUFO), the Embassy of Canada to Viet Nam and relevant sectors, organizations of Ha Noi, this year’s event drew the participation of 8,000 local and foreign people.

According to organizing board of the event, all proceeds will be used to fund programs for poor children suffering from cancer, congenital heart defects at the Ha Noi Heart Hospital, the National Hospital of Pediatrics, and Viet Nam Heartbeat Foundation.

Ha Noi Run For Children is formerly known as the Terry Fox Run Ha Noi. Over the past 15 years, the event has contributed to raising funds for children with cancer and congenital heart diseases, enhancing the community's responsibility for and awareness of providing healthcare to people in Viet Nam.

Last year, the event attracted over 7,000 participants and raised over VND 1 billion.
