CPI rises 1.82 percent in October (16:40 31/10/2016)

HNP - Ha Noi’s consumer price index (CPI) for October showed an increase of 1.82 percent over the previous month and a year-on-year rise of 5 percent, according to the Ha Noi Statistics Offices (GSO).

Ten groups of commodities saw their prices go up, with the highest rise – 26.75 percent – seen in the category of medicine and health services; restaurant and catering services increased by 0.32 percent; beverage and cigarette up 0.09 percent; apparel, headgear and footwear 0.13 percent; housing and construction materials up 0.37 percent; home appliances up 0.04 percent; transport category up 1.78 percent; education sector up 0.01 percent; culture, entertainment and tourism up 0.01 percent; goods and other services up 0.01 percent.

The post and telecommunications group remained unchanged while the gold price decreased by 1.63 percent and the VND/USD exchange rate was up 0.05 percent.
