In the Document, Hanoi People’s Committee notified that it has received the conclusion from Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh at the government meeting on traffic safety and public order for the first six months and objectives for the rest of the year. Of which, Hanoi People’s Committee is tasked with implementing measures to reduce traffic congestion and accelerating the implementation of major transportation projects; enhancing quality services of buses; punishing violations in urban order; among others.
Hanoi People’s Committee requested the Department of Transportation to cooperate with the city’s police, people’s committees at districts and ward levels to ensure public order and traffic safety in Hanoi in 2020 and implementing the traffic safety plan for this year.
Meanwhile, Hanoi is expected to implement substantial measures to reduce the number of traffic accidents in three criteria, including the number of cases, number of fatalities and number of injured people; reporting the result to the National Committee of Traffic Safety, the Ministry of Transport and Hanoi People’s Committee in September, 2020.
Hanoi People’s Committee requested people’s committees at district and ward levels to strictly punish those violating traffic laws in Hanoi.
