Hanoi to promote OCOP products at walking streets (07:24 11/06/2020)


HNP - Hanoi People’s Committee issued plan No.120/KH-UBND on June 9, to promote domestic consumption and earn better revenue in retail sales and consumer services in Hanoi in 2020.


In order to boost the economic growth in a new normalcy, as well as to mitigate negative impacts from the Covid-19 pandemic; support enterprises to resume operation and contribute to the city economic development in 2020; Hanoi has set up plan for promotional activities in June.
 
The event would attract 1,000 enterprises to participate in the promotional month and trade promotion activities, among others, so that enterprises could diversify their promotional activities and provide high quality products for customers.
 
Hanoi would also ensure greater efficiency in the campaign “Vietnamese people buy Vietnamese goods”, through Vietnamese goods Week, goods demand - supply connection program, voting program for customers’ favorite products; program of taking Vietnamese goods to rural areas and industrial parks, among others; promoting trade promotion programs, enhancing provincial linkages for goods distribution and consumption.
 
Hanoi is expected to call for investment and support enterprises in developing trade infrastructure; improve the market and sale networks; developing modern retail sale network; apply IT in production and business, e-commerce, e-payment and other methods in line with digital economy in the post-Covid-19 period; support enterprises to form production and supply chains.
 
Hanoi is expected to continue promote domestic tourism, focusing on its major tourism products, including heritage, cultural, agricultural tourism, among others; hosting cultural, sports and tourism events to attract more tourists coming to Hanoi.
 
Meanwhile, the capital city  is set to promote agricultural production to ensure sufficient supply of agro-forestry-fishery products for Hanoi’s people, while using QR code to track products’ origin and ensure food safety.
 
Hanoi would also implement the one commune one product (OCOP) in 2020, specifically events to promote OCOP products in relation  to cultural values of other provinces/cities in Hanoi’s walking streets; arrange locations to promote OCOP products at craft villages to promote tourism and domestic consumption.
 
Hanoi would continue to ensure stable prices for basic necessities in Hanoi, while enhancing supervision tasks at market against smuggling, trade fraud, fake products and those that violate intellectual property rights.
