Accordingly, the municipal Party Committee asked the entire political system, agencies, enterprises, hospitals, schools, organizations, army forces and local people to be determined to effectively implement Party chief’s call; comply with relevant guidelines of the Politburo and the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat, and the direction of the Government and the Prime Minister.
The Municipal Party Committee underlined the need for the whole political system, agencies, enterprises, hospitals, schools, organizations, army forces and local residents to stay united in their will and actions in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic as well as mobilize all available resources to repel the disease and protect people’s health and lives.
Under the directive, all-level Party organizations, authorities, Fatherland Front, political-social organizations are tasked to continue strengthening the communication work to create the consensus among people in implementing social distancing measure in line with the PM’s Directive No. 16/CT-TTg on urgent measures for COVID-19 prevention and control.
It is necessary to raise public awareness about self-protection amid the COVID-19 outbreak and compliance with epidemic prevention and control regulations as well as guidelines of the Ministry of Health and local authorities.
Local residents are encouraged to fill out voluntary health declarations, timely inform medical facilities on their health status with signs and symptoms indicative of acute respiratory infections, implement isolation measures as regulated while promoting solidarity and responsibility in the fight, with the spirit that each citizen must be a soldier in the battlefield against the disease.
The municipal authority asked heads of local Party Committees, authorities, agencies and units to take full responsibility for epidemic prevention and control in localities, with the “four on-the-spot” motto while instructing the maintenance of economic development and social welfare, and the organization of Party assemblies at all levels.
The Municipal Party Committee also assigned the Party Directive Committee of the Municipal People’s Committee to review, update anti-epidemic scenarios, follow the PM’s instructions and be ready to respond to the disease in all situations. Particularly, the Municipal People’s Committee will continue tightly monitoring and timely isolating those in close contact with suspected or infected cases so as to prevent the spread of the virus. In addition to performing disinfection, the city will cooperate with the Ministry of Health and relevant agencies to thoroughly handle the COVID-19 outbreak at Bach Mai Hospital.
Besides, the Municipal People’s Committee will realize a “dual” task, fighting COVID-19 pandemic but still continuing economic development and social welfare, and call on state-own businesses to reduce spending in order to save funds for the epidemic combat, review and support those affected by the disease, and offer specific preferential policies for production and business activities.
The Municipal Party Committee also urged the Municipal People’s Committee to elaborate economic development plans as soon as the epidemic ends, and take strong measures for political security, social order and safety, crime and social evil prevention to ensure the peaceful life of the people.
Meanwhile, Vietnam Fatherland Front and social-political organizations at all levels are requested to encourage officials, Party members and people to raise their awareness and comply with pandemic prevention and control regulations while calling on officers, civil servants and workers each to donate at least one-day salary to the COVID-19 fund.
