Under the announcement, the municipal Party Committee requested local authorities at all levels to proceed with drastic measures under the instruction of the Politburo, Vietnam’s President Nguyen Phu Trong, and other government’s leaders in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
In efforts against the pandemic, organizations, provinces/cities should put priority in identifying cases of infections for timely isolation and treatment, in turn minimizing risks of virus transmission and protecting the health of the people.
The announcement requested the entire political system to mobilize resources and efforts against the pandemic.
Additionally, the Party Committee in collaboration with other agencies would continue to raise the public’s awareness in encouraging the joint effort of the public against the pandemic.
Social-political organizations and Vietnam Fatherland Front should promote anti-virus measures and prepare plans for the worst-case scenarios to ensure the most effective solutions in fighting the pandemic; ensure public endorsement in complying with solutions against the pandemic; commend individuals and organizations with outstanding contribution in the fights against the pandemic.
The announcement requested relevant agencies to strictly comply with measures against the pandemic; forbid all public gatherings and suspending cultural, sport, and entertainment events at public places; suspend businesses activities in localities, except for essential services; request the people to stay at home and only go out in case of necessity; wear face masks in public places.
Local authorities are tasked with ensuring sufficient supplies, especially basic necessities for the people in all circumstances; strictly punishing those hoarding foodstuffs and medical equipment for hiking prices.
The announcement informed the reduction of 5% of regular spending for administrative agencies, mainly based on saving expenses from organizing festivals, meetings, traveling abroad, which would be used to cover activities against the pandemic.
Hanoi’s authorities continue to provide support for people directly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, including self-employed and unemployed people, privately-run enterprises, among others, to ensure social security.
The city is expected to support Bach Mai hospital to stamp out the virus from the hospital.
