Hanoi mayor issues urgent dispatch on Covid-19 prevention and control (15:20 29/03/2020)


HNP - Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung signed an urgent public dispatch at 7:00 pm on March 28, rolling out measures to strengthen the work of COVID-19 prevention and control amid rapid increase of new infection cases recently.


Accordingly, the epidemic’s evolution is still complicated in the world, with an increasing number of COVID-19 infected cases and deaths. 
 
The Ministry of Health reported that as of 5:00 pm on March 28, Vietnam recorded 169 cases of COVID-19 infection in 23 provinces and cities across the country. 
 
Hanoi confirmed 59 infected cases. Especially, Bach Mai Hospital becomes a new Covid-19 outbreak center after detection of six infection cases linked to the hospital.
 
To prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus to the community, Chairman Nguyen Duc Chung asked Chairpersons of district/township People’s Committees to set up working teams to make a list of people who have visited the hospital since March 10 for prompt medical quarantine.
 
He assigned the Hanoi Police to work with district authorities and functional forces to roll out the above-mentioned tasks. 
 
Under the dispatch, Director of Bach Mai Hospital is responsible for giving full information about all arrivals in the hospital since March 10.
 
Meanwhile, district/township People’s Committees are in charge of giving a report on implementation progress to the Steering Committee on COVID-19 prevention and control.
