Under the plan, Hanoi expects to achieve 100% of people’s committees at district and commune level to have plan to prevent epidemics; 100% of people’s committees to set up volunteer groups to help the local authorities in containing dengue fever and taking care of locals’ health.
Additionally, 100% of health facilities in Hanoi will report cases of epidemics online under the instruction of the Ministry of Health; 100% vaccination facilities in Hanoi will proceed with the national vaccination program; 100% of healthcare staffs will be qualified in preventing and containing the spread of epidemics; 100% of districts, communes and villages, schools, enterprises, construction sites, units, and departments in Hanoi will keep their workplaces hygienic and carry out with epidemic preventive works every Friday.
The plan also requests related parties to timely identify and treat cases of people infected with viruses, aiming to minimize the rate of infection and fatalities, while ensuring 95% of children under 1 year of age vaccinated.
The city is expected to raise people’s awareness in preventing epidemics and raising people’s health; enhancing cooperation among units and agencies, in carrying out preventive works and sharing information related to inspection activities in epidemic prevention works in each area.
Each health facility must ensure sufficient financial capabilities for medicine and health equipment purchase to prevent epidemic.
Plans to prevent the spread of epidemic in 2020 of districts and communes must be submitted to Hanoi People’s Committee before December 31, 2019, in which each must be specific and based on the characteristics of respective areas.
