The annual cultural event contributes to promoting exchange and cooperation in all aspects between Vietnam and Japan in general, Hanoi and Japan in particular.
According to the plan, the 5th Hanoi cherry blossom festival will be held from March 27-30. The opening ceremony will take place at 8.00 pm on March 27, 2020 at the statue of King Ly Thai To.
Within the framework of the festival, a wide range of cultural exchange activities bearing both Vietnamese and Japanese identities will be held in the heart of Hanoi.
Visitors will have a chance to enjoy the beauty of the Japanese typical flower and try their hands on the country’s tea ceremony, kimono traditional dress, calligraphy, photos of festivals and landscapes, along with technology applications in service of the daily life.
Besides, many performances of Japanese arts like yosokoi dance, kimono shows and karate martial arts, among other will be held along with Vietnamese traditional arts during the festival.
Several conferences will be held on the sideline of the event to promote investment and tourism between Hanoi and Japan.
The annual event is expected to promote the image, culture, country and people of Japan to the people of Hanoi.
It will also be a chance for the two sides to increase mutual trust and understanding, and intensify exchange and cooperation in the fields of culture, health care, education, tourism, economy and environment.
