Under the document, the promotion is aimed to raise awareness among the public and pushing forward promotional activities among the political system, for wider use of Vietnamese goods.
The Commission for Communication and Education requested the Department of Information and Communications, as well as other local agencies to organize promotion activities and ensure effectiveness of the process.
According to the Commission, in order to realize the objective of the “Buy Vietnamese Goods” campaign, the Steering Committee for the campaign in Hanoi are tasked with addressing concern of enterprises and holding various activities related to the campaign; instructing the implementation of solutions and tasks, such as enhancing efficiency of the promotion activities to the public, organizations and government agencies, particularly customers, producers and distribution channels; focusing on promoting and honoring high quality Vietnamese products and services, especially those recognized as “favorite Vietnamese goods”; promoting, and replicating models of honoring individuals, organizations and products recognized as high quality Vietnamese products.
The Commission requested better implementation of the introduction and promotion of high quality Vietnamese goods to customers, organizing Vietnamese goods fairs; encouraging the people, public servants and others to participate in the voting programs for “favorite Vietnamese goods in 2019”; distributing Vietnamese goods to customers through the implementation of selling programs of Vietnamese goods at districts, communes, industrial parks, and production facilities in Hanoi and through distribution channels abroad.
Another issue is to support enterprises overcoming difficultiesthrough linking promotion activities of the campaign to Hanoi’s effort in supporting the business community; joining hands with departments, units, districts and communities in addressing concern of enterprises; focusing on connecting supply - demand, pushing for greater linkage among producers, distributors and customers through the organization of trade fairs; continuing the review and support enterprises in brand building of specialized products in each province/city; boosting efficiency in introducing and promoting activities, in turn creating a habit of consuming Vietnamese products among local communities; organizing events connecting supply - demand, production, distribution and consumption.
The Commission expected related authorities to fulfill their tasks of supervising the market, product prices and efforts preventing fake and low quality products, as well as against smuggling and trade frauds.
This would result in controlling inflation and keep stable prices for essential goods, ensuring social welfare and sustainable development, stated the Commission.
