Hanoi: Many positive changes in implementing prime ministerial Directive 13/CT-Ttg (05:57 27/06/2019)

HNP - The Hanoi People’s Committee on June 20 released Report No. 193/BC-UBND on the outcomes in carrying out Directive 13/CT-TTg dated May 9, 2019 of the Prime Minister on increasing the responsibility for the state management of food safety in the second quarter of 2019.

In realizing the PM’s directive, Hanoi has rolled out many missions and solutions, and gained concrete achievements. 
In terms of food safety management, the city has kept intensifying cooperation and connection with 21 northern provinces in consuming agro-forestry and fishery products in Hanoi; created optimal conditions for Hanoi firms to connect to producers in provinces and cities throughout the country; introduced distribution systems in Hanoi, among others. 
Currently, Hanoi has many large-scale supermarkets in both urban and rural areas across the city, such as Vinmart, Lan Chi, T&T, Coopfood, K-mart, and T-mart stores.
Besides, Hanoi has paid special attention to installing test equipment at commercial centers and big farm produce   markets in an effort to help local consumers to recognize safe or unsafe food.
In the second quarter of the year, specialized agencies under the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development took 619 samples of agricultural, forestry and aquatic products for test. The Ha Noi Agricultural Products Quality Certification and Analysis Center also conducted food safety rapid tests on agricultural, forestry and aquatic products. Meanwhile, Departments of Health, Industry and Trade carried out laboratory tests for 397 samples.
Departments of Health, Agriculture and Rural Development, Industry and Trade granted a total of 880 food safety certificates. 
Regarding key missions in the remaining months of the years, Hanoi will continue strictly working out tasks in Directive No. 13/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister, Directive No. 10-CT/TU of the Hanoi Party Committee, Decree No. 15/2018/ND-CP dated February 2, 2018 of the Government.
