Accordingly, the Municipal People’s Committee assigned Departments of Culture and Sports, Foreign Affairs, the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations, the Ha Noi Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center, district/township People’s Committees and relevant units to carry out the plan.
A ceremony will be held on July 13 at the Ly Thai To Flower Park to mark the 20th anniversary of its title as “City For Peace”.
Additionally, a wide range of cultural and sport activities will take place on the occasion, namely, a performance to introduce Vietnam’s UNESCO-recognized Intangible Cultural Heritages, an international painting contest “I love Hanoi – City for Peace”, a peaceful and friendship melody festival themed “Echoes of the peaceful city”, a conference titled “Hanoi – A City for Peace – 20 years of integration and development”, among others.
Serving as a standing agency, the Department of Culture and Sports will take prime responsibility and cooperate with the Department of Foreign Affairs, the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations, departments, sectors, district/township People’s Committees and relevant units to work out the plan as scheduled.
