Accordingly, the Secretary underlined the need to enhance the leadership and direction of all level Party Committee and authorities as well as the cooperation among the city’s entities in developing the education sector; renew the management of education and training, conduct inspections and strictly handle infractions; increase heads’ responsibility; ensure synchronization and efficiency in managing education and training; strengthen the communication on renewal in education, outstanding teachers and student in the city; draw the participation, assessment and social feedback on education, contributing to promoting the education development.
It is necessary to adjust the school planning in the city to ensure compliance with the reality in the coming time; pay attention to investing in infrastructure development, building schools in the direction of ensuring uniformity, standardization and modernity; improve the quality of education at all levels; tighten the management of extra classes in the city; enhance the cooperation with functional agencies and students’ parents to ensure food safety and hygiene in schools; strengthen the communication on School Milk Program; promote international integration in education and training.
Among the tasks stated in the announcement include improving the qualification of teachers, officials and civil servants; preparing conditions to renew textbooks and education programs; supplementing and updating educational materials on teaching elegant and civilized lifestyle for students in Hanoi; completing and teaching traffic safety education documents for high school students; taking care of sex education to raise students’ awareness; building healthy, safe and friendly education environment.
Besides, the Department of Education and Training is requested to enhance administrative reform, IT application in teaching and studying; strictly implement Resolution No. 19-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017 on continuing to renew organization and management to improve the quality and operational efficiency of public non-business units, among others.
