To prevent the disease from further spreading, the Municipal Party Committee’s Standing Board requested the Party Board of the Municipal People’s Committee, all-level Party Committees, authorities, Fatherland Front Committees, social and political organizations to strictly carry out following missions: instructing and urging the execution of synchronous measures to put the disease under control; implementing Directive No. 04/CT-TTg dated February 20, 2019 of the Prime Minister; on financing the epidemic prevention and control work in the city as regulated.
Among the tasks include establishing interdisciplinary working teams to inspect disease prevention and control as instructed by the Central level and the city in all districts, towns; working out professional measures to control the disease; and preparing full materials, chemicals to cull infected pigs.
The Standing Board also asked the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to work with relevant sectors, People’s Committees of districts, towns to control the transport of pigs in the capital city, especially in wholesale markets, slaughter houses, and imports of pigs from cities and provinces into Ha Noi; strengthen the inspection and the handling of smuggling, importing all pork products of unknown origins; monitor the epidemic in villages and residential areas; timely cull sick and dead pigs; launch environmental sanitation campaigns citywide; sign commitments with breeding households on strictly carrying out preventive measures as instructed by the Central and the city;
The Board also urged suburban districts where the disease breaks out to give financial aid to farmers as instructed by the Government.
Social and political organizations and press agencies are requested to strengthen the communication of the disease under diversified ways in order to raise people’s awareness, helping consumers not to be confused and turn their backs on safe pork.
