To proactively prevent the spread of African swine fever virus in the area, the Municipal People’s Committee asked People’s Committees of districts and towns, departments, agencies and relevant units to strictly take drastic measures as directed at Directive No. 04/CT-TTg dated February 20th, 2019 and Public Telegraph No. 1194/CD-TTg dated September 12th, 2019 of the Prime Minister, Public Telegraph No. 08/CD-UBND dated February 22nd, 2019 of the Chairman of the Municipal People’s Committee, and other documents of the Central and the city.
Furthermore, People’s Committees of districts and towns are tasked to encourage the participation of the entire political system in the fight against the epidemic; establish Steering Committees of districts; tighten the control of slaughter houses, leftover food sources for pig breeding; enhance inspection in villages, residential areas, landfills to make sure that all infected and dead pigs were culled; proactively allocate funds for disease prevention and control.
It is necessary to review the number of pig breeding farms and pigs in localities; request farmers to strictly carry out regulations on epidemic prevention and control; and strengthen the popularization of the fight against African swine fever among local residents.
Chair-people of People’s Committees of districts and towns will take responsibility for disease prevention and control; cooperate with departments, sectors and relevant localities to promote epidemic prevention; take more measures to curb the outbreak; give daily report to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (before 4.00 pm).
