Accordingly, the Municipal People’s Committee agreed with results, shortcomings and reasons in implementing regulations on protecting environment in craft villages in the area at a report by the Division of Urban Affair under the Municipal People’s Council.
On the basis of specific recommendations of the supervision team, the Municipal People’s Committee assigned the Departments of Natural Resources an Environment, Industry and Trade, Agriculture and rural Development, Planning and Investment, Finance, and People’s Committees of districts, towns having craft villages to take more measures and give reports to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment for a synthesis report to the Municipal People’s Committee as regulated.
Regarding the above missions, the Municipal People’s Committee assigned the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to carry out contents, missions of the project on environmental production in craft villages which was approved by the Municipal People’s Committee, give a report to the Municipal People’s Committee as stipulated by law.
The Departments of Industry and Trade, Agriculture and Rural Development, Planning and Investment, Finance will carry out specific contents and recommendations so as to develop production, trade, improve the quality of products of traditional craft villages, and minimize products causing environmental pollution; move producing facilities in residential areas to industrial clusters; cooperate with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to amend and complete legal documents guiding the implementation of laws, mechanisms and policies on managing, developing craft villages associated with environmental protection in craft villages so as to timely settle environmental pollution.
