Accordingly, from December 25th, 2018 to March 25th, 2019, Ha Noi will strengthen the popularization of a plan to ensure food safety, prevent food poisonings, and protect consumers’ rights, health during Tet and spring festivals in 2019.
The popularization will aim to enrich knowledge and practice of food safety, hygiene during Tet; clarify the role and responsibility of managers, producers, traders, and consumers in ensuring quality and food safety.
It is necessary to enhance interdisciplinary inspection of food safety in localities. Particularly, Steering Committees will monitor the assurance of food safety during Tet and spring festivals in 2019.
Inspection delegations will strictly handle violation cases as stipulated by law; take more measures to prevent products with unknown origin. During inspection sessions, teams will send all dossiers of violation cases to functional forces, such as local People’s Committees, the Department of Health, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Department of Industry and Trade for handling as regulated.
The city will establish three interdisciplinary inspection teams to ensure food safety during Tet and spring festivals in 2019 in communes, wards, and towns; check festivals, producing and trading facilities, business households, etc; supervise facilities inspected by communes, wards and towns.
Communes, wards, and towns will also establish interdisciplinary inspection teams to check food safety in festivals, facilities with catering services, stores, markets and street foods in communes, wards, and towns as assigned.
