In the first ten months, the city’s socio-economic development keeps rising p with many higher targets compared to the same period last year. 20 targets of economic development followed set contents, programs, and plans. Notably, foreign direct investment (FDI) attraction reached US$6.3 billion, 2.8 times higher than that of 2017, becoming the leading city in the country.
Budget revenue fetched VND 189.4 trillion, accounting for 79.4% of the estimate, posting a year on year surge of 10.7%. In the first ten months, Ha Noi welcomed 21.73 million tourists, up 9%, in which, the number of international tourists was 4.82 million, up 17.8%. Total revenue from tourism was estimated at VND 63.4 trillion, up 6.9%. The city planted 927.8 thousand trees, accounting for 92.7% of the one million-tree program.
Over the past ten months, Ha Noi has paid special attention to social welfare. Particularly, all levels, sectors, and localities completed the plan on supporting the building of 4,046 houses for the poor in the area.
The capital city has made more effort to ensure political security, social order and safety, traffic safety for political, economic, cultural, and social activities. Especially, agricultural production has been stable.
However, the city pointed out difficulties and weaknesses in its direction and operation.
Regarding key missions in the remaining months of the year, Ha Noi will continue to well implement the year of improving the capacity and effectiveness of the political system 2018; complete missions assigned by the Government, the Municipal Party Committee, the People’s Council and the People’s Committee; urgently complete reports, proposals and draft resolutions for the 7th meeting of the Municipal People’s Council and submit to the Municipal People’s Committee.
More effort must be made to drastically and effectively deploy Action Program No. 34/CTr-UBND of the Municipal People’s Committee on major missions, solutions for the socio- economic development and budget estimate in 2018; fulfill and exceed 20 targets of the socio-economic development.
Similarly, the city will urgently complete the registration of accounts using One-Stop-Shop software connecting to online public service portal implemented by the Department of Information and Communications.
Besides, departments, sectors, and units are urged to complete the evaluation and classification of cadres, civil servants, and laborers in 2018 in November.
