Accordingly, in August and over the past eight months, the city’s socio-economic development has posted comprehensive growth rate. Particularly, in the first eight months, state budget revenue was estimated at VND 151.6 trillion, accounting for 63.6% of the estimate and up 16.1%; export turnover was estimated to increase by 26.2%, reaching US$ 9.16 billion, up 19%, etc.
The city attracted a total FDI capital of US$ 6.26 billion, 3.6 times higher than that figure last year; granted certificates of business registration for 16,467 newly-established enterprises with the total registered capital of VND 180,021 billion; mobilized the total capital of VND 2,901 trillion, posting a month on month increase of 1.6% and up 10% compared to December, 2017.
Additionally, foreign visitors to the city reached 3.87 million, up 19.82% and total revenue from tourism was estimated at VND 51.28 trillion, up 4.12%.
Besides, the city successfully organized a ceremony to mark ten years of carrying out Resolution No. 15/2008/NQ-QH12 of the National Assembly on adjusting administrative boundary of Ha Noi and relating provinces, and a conference on collecting recommendations of districts, suburban districts and towns for a pilot project on urban administration in Ha Noi.
Similarly, levels, sectors and localities drastically took many solutions to overcome consequences of the storm 3 in some outskirt districts; prepared facilities for the new school year; and ensured the progress of implementing plans and working programs in 2018.
Regarding key missions in September, the Municipal People’s Committee requested to implement the year of improving efficiency and effectiveness of the political system in 2018; focus on deploying missions assigned by the Government, the Municipal Party Committee, the People’s Council and the People’s Committee; well prepare reports, summations, draft resolutions for the meeting of the Municipal People’s Council in the end of 2018.
More effort must be made to drastically and effectively implement the Action Program No. 34/CTr-UBND of the Municipal People’s Committee on key missions and solutions for the socio-economic development and state budget estimate in 2018; promote measures for sustainable budget collection; urge to the collection of tax debts, land renting fees; enhance solutions to prevent tax collection losses and ensure the completion of estimates; strengthen administrative reform; timely remove difficulties and settle procedures to speed up the construction and disbursement of investment capital for basic construction.
