The plan stressed the importance of improving the city’s economic competitiveness and effective utilization of the RCEP.
In this regard, the city would promote favorable mechanisms and supporting policies to boost competitiveness of businesses and economic sectors.
Meanwhile, Hanoi aims to support the development of small enterprises via policies and support in terms of capital, training, facilitating information access, technologies, and market entry.
Along with such efforts, Hanoi is expected to promote the application of science and technologies in production and businesses, with the goal of raising labor productivity among economic sectors.
Another key aspect is to foster new production technologies, create new jobs and products for the local and foreign markets.
In particular, Hanoi would focus on restructuring the agricultural sector, digitalization, the application of science and modern technologies for higher product quality, being environmentally friendly, origin tracing.
The priorities would be placed on hi-tech farming and supporting the development of products under the one commune one product (OCOP) program, among others.
Hanoi would also restructure industrial sector and support the development of industrial production with new technologies, while gradually applying new technologies from the Industry 4.0 for higher labor productivity.
This is set to help Vietnam create products of national brands that are capable to compete in the region and abroad.
Meanwhile, Hanoi would strengthen the implementation of trade/investment/tourism facilitation program at member countries of RCEP, and train high quality workforce to meet growing demands.
Hanoi is expected to raise the role of business association to timely address concern of the business community, especially small and medium enterprises.
