Accordingly, the two sides will strengthen the cooperation to tap into potentials and advantages and promote socio-economic development of Soc Trang and Hanoi in the coming time.
Hanoi and Soc Trang will intensify exchanges in building the Party and political system, aiming to build transparent, strong, streamlined and efficient political systems. Particularly, the two sides will support each other in training officials, improving the Party organization’s combativeness, expanding models in the mass mobilization task to create the consensus among officials, Party members and people, timely dealing with grassroots difficulties and problems.
Under the announcement, the two localities will closely coordinate to work out master plans in the province and the city, map out preferential policies for business activities and offer solutions to improve investment environment and raise the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI).
Hanoi and Soc Trang also agreed to create the best conditions for the city’s investors to seek investment opportunities in the province’s industrial parks and clusters, while jointly organizing events to strengthen supply-demand connections and promote production and trade.
The announcement also underlined the need for the two sides to boost coordination in developing hi-tech and organic agricultural models, transferring scientific and technical advances in agriculture.
Notably, the two localities will closely work to preserve and promote diversified cultural features and organize exchange activities to widely introduce unique art forms.
Hanoi will help Soc Trang hold a cultural festival to introduce its specialties in the pedestrian space around Hoan Kiem Lake.
The city will also help the province mobilize resources to carry out programs on sustainable poverty reduction, social security and charity activities in the area while calling on organizations and individuals to assist Soc Trang in building public works.
