Accordingly, the Municipal People’s Committee received an official letter of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development on carrying out the vocational training plan for rural laborers.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development asked People’s Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities to review the progress, offer solutions and assign specific tasks so as to complete the set plan on vocational training for rural laborers in 2018; deploy training contents as directed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, such as implementing proper vocational training structure, reviewing and adding vocational training programs in line with programs on restructuring, new style rural construction and sustainable poverty reduction in localities.

It is necessary to strengthen the socialization of vocational training in agricultural sector to encourage all economic sectors to participate in the vocational training; enhance the career counseling so that trained laborers can get loans from the National Employment Assistance Fund and the Viet Nam Bank for Social Policies.

Special attention should be paid to renewing the survey work, knowing well demands, and organizing agricultural training; assigning Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development to identify demands and train occupations in material production areas, production and labour conversion projects in provinces, cities; strengthening communication on agricultural training on mass media or through conferences, seminars, and effective models; evaluating results of agricultural training; proposing difficulties, obstacles to the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Regarding the above matter, the Municipal People’s Committee assigned the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to take prime responsibility and coordinate with the Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs to carry out the tasks and report to the Municipal People’s Committee.
