Overseas Vietnamese to promote local products (11:06 08/12/2022)


HNP - On December 2, the Hanoi People's Committee issued Plan No. 313/KH-UBND on the implementation of the project "Mobilization of overseas Vietnamese in participating in product introduction, consumption and development of distribution channels of Vietnamese products abroad, period 2020-2024".  


According to the plan, there are 5 groups of contents to implement the above project in 2023, including: strengthening information work; database building; continue to implement trade promotion programs and connect Vietnamese enterprises at home and abroad, and at the same time, develop distribution systems abroad; orientations of sales of Vietnamese products through e-commerce platforms and implementation of international economic integration.

In order to mobilize overseas Vietnamese to introduce and consume products and develop overseas distribution channels, the municipal People's Committee calls for raising public awareness of Hanoi's products, goods and services in the overseas Vietnamese community; directly or indirectly develop overseas goods distribution channels, contributing to increasing the scale of export turnover of Vietnamese and Hanoi goods in distribution systems in overseas markets; connect domestic production, import and export enterprises to participate more effectively in overseas Vietnamese goods distribution channels.

At the same time, the plan called for close coordination with Vietnamese embassies and trade offices, trade promotion organizations, overseas Vietnamese associations, departments of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other units related to deployment, trade infrastructure development, connection and introduction of Vietnamese goods into the overseas distribution system.

The city will also continue to promote the implementation of the "Vietnamese prioritize the use of Vietnamese products" campaign in the overseas Vietnamese community through various ways; further consolidate and promote the role of Vietnamese trading centers, traditional markets and supermarkets, especially in markets where a large Vietnamese community resides living to further improve the delivery of Vietnamese products in these establishments; strengthen the connection of Vietnamese businesses at home and abroad. In addition, the city also connects, promotes, introduces products, adds new distribution channels, expands markets, contributes to promoting the consumption of Hanoi agricultural products.
