Hanoi stops non-essential services to fight coronavirus (21:39 04/05/2021)


HNP - Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Chu Ngoc Anh released Dispatch No. 06/CD-UBND on shutting down all non-essential services as part of measures to curb the spread of COVID-19.


Under the document, the chairperson asked departments, branches and district-level People’s Committees to strictly implement the Prime Minister’s direction stated in Official Letter No.  570/CD-TTg dated May 2, 2021. 

 

All agencies and units are requested to continue carrying out Dispatch No. 03/CD-UBND dated April 27, 2021, Dispatch No. 04/CD-UBND dated April 29, 2021 and Dispatch No. 05/CD-UBND dated May 2, 2021. 
 
The city also ordered to shutter relic and religious sites, street eateries, iced tea stalls, and cafes from 5:00 pm on Monday until next announcement to prevent the risk of COVID-19 transmissions.
 
Meanwhile, restaurants and coffee shop serving customers indoors shall have to erect dividers between seats or ensure customers are one meter apart from each other. The capital city asked these establishments to  take advantage of takeout and delivery.
